"Boyfriend" de Ashlee Simpson est la chanson que l'on peut entendre lorsque les filles arrivent chez Brooke et Haley afin de choisir leur "boy" de l'année.
C'est d'ailleurs un choix judicieux de chanson puisque qu'elle parle d'une fille accusant la chanteuse de lui avoir voler son copain (un peu ce que se passe entre Rachel et Brooke !)

"Rewind" de Stereophonics est la chanson qui acompagne le montage finale des scènes. On peut ainsi voir Brooke qui prépare la fiche de la sélection des garçons et qui a d'ailleurs beaucoup de mal à inscrire Lucas face au nom de Rachel. Peyton quand à elle décore sa chambre de quelques dessins assez représentatif (Where are you now-Où etes vous maintenant ?) et enfin Haley rajoutant à son nom "Scott" sur l'affiche des grand paroliers des Etats-Unis au Karen's Café.

Lors de la "nuit de folie", premier match de gala de l'équipe des Ravens, Lucas et Nathan en viennent aux mains. Dans l'équipe des pom-pom girls, la rivalité entre Brooke et Rachel ne cesse de s'accentuer.

"There She Goes" (Instrumental) de Radius est la chanson que l'on entend lorsque Brooke voit Rachel en train de flirter avec Lucas.

Le jour d'Halloween, tous les jeunes s'apprêtent à participer à un bal masqué, lieu propice à toutes les déclarations. Dan décide de se présenter aux élections municipales de la ville.

Les Fall Out Boy viennent eux-même interpréter leur tube "Dance, Dance" dans la série, la première de leur trois apparitions...mais aussi une pub incroyable pour le groupe qui est cité à presque tous les épisodes !
